Fatal Accident on Scott Robinson Boulevard in North Las Vegas
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (December 13, 2022) – The North Las Vegas Police Department confirmed that two children died in a car accident on North Scott Robinson Boulevard on December 11.
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened in the 5000 block of Scott Robinson Boulevard around 9:16 PM. Based on a report, a silver Honda van was traveling northbound on the road prior to the crash.
Subsequently, the driver failed to maintain the lane and sideswiped trees, a light pole, and a wall. In the end, it struck a large palm tree head-on.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced a toddler dead at the scene. Then, another toddler died at the hospital. Their names were not yet available, pending kin notification.
Crews also transported two adults to a local hospital, where one remained in serious condition.
Police say the two juveniles were not wearing proper protective restraints. The police also noted that speed and impairment are believed to be factors in the crash. At this point, they continue to investigate the case.
