Tucker Roberts Causes Serious-Injury Crash on 5 Freeway in Vancouver

 
VANCOUVER, WA (January 21, 2025) – The Vancouver Police Department arrested Tucker Roberts of Ridgefield following a high-speed crash on 5 Freeway on January 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened on the freeway bridge around 11:52 PM. Based on a report, Roberts was driving a Tesla car when he crashed into the back of another Tesla car.
 
Crews responded to the scene and found the vehicles blocking two lanes of the freeway. Both vehicles were totaled in the incident.
 
One car had three residents from Washington, while the other car contained two Portland residents. Crews used automatic extrication tools to extract the passengers from the cars. They rushed them to area hospitals with serious injuries.
 
Police and fire crews said speeding was the cause of the wreck. They arrested Roberts for vehicular assault.
