Tu Thanh Thi Lam Identified in Fatal Car Crash in Snohomish

 
SNOHOMISH, WA (March 5, 2024) – Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies identified 55-year-old Tu Thanh Thi Lam of Monroe who died in a head-on crash on Highway 2 on February 21.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Three Lakes Road around 6:22 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a 2018 Toyota Sienna eastbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a 23-year-old man was driving a 2007 Toyota Highlander on the westbound lane. Due to unknown reasons, the man crossed the center line and struck the victim’s vehicle.
 
As a result, the woman suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Fire officials said the second driver sustained serious injuries.
 
Drugs or alcohol were a possible factor in the deadly crash.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
