Travis Schilling Identified in Fatal Crash on Loop 101 and Mountain View Road in Scottsdale

 
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (July 5, 2023) – Officials identified Travis Schilling of Clarkdale who died in a rollover crash on Loop 101 on June 25.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Mountain View Road around 6:45 PM. Based on a report, Schilling was driving a pickup truck northbound on the loop when he collided with the rear of an SUV.
 
Subsequently, his pickup left the roadway off-right and traveled up the dirt embankment and through a metal fence. The vehicle then rolled onto its roof and fell 15 feet into a dry canal. The SUV left the roadway off-right and came to rest with the rear half of the vehicle suspended over the canal.
 
As a result, Schilling suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Crews took the front-seat passenger of the SUV to the hospital for minor injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
