Tomie Gonzalez and Gage Remington Hospitalized after Car Crash on Highway 17 near Milepost 57

 
MOSES LAKE, WA (July 1, 2024) — Two people, Tomie Gonzalez and Gage Remington, sustained injuries in a car accident on Saturday, June 15.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the one-vehicle crash happened at around 1:39 p.m. on Highway 17, near milepost 57.
 
WSP said a 2002 Kia Spectra with four passengers moved southbound on Highway 17. Then it veered right off the roadway and crashed with a metal post. After that, it eventually came to a stop near the parking lot of a nearby 76 gas station.
 
Paramedics airlifted 25-year-old Tomie R. Gonzalez, who was driving the vehicle, to Confluence Health Hospital in Wenatchee.
 
Meanwhile, emergency responders also transported the passenger, 21-year-old Gage J. Remington, to Good Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
 
The remaining two passengers did not sustain any injuries.
 
There are pending charges for Gonzalez. However, WSP said intoxication does not appear as a factor in the incident.
