PINAL COUNTY, AZ (February 28, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that three people suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 87 on February 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Arica Road near the Red Rock Correctional Center. Based on a report, two vehicles collided head-on in the lanes.
 
Police said firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate patients.
 
As a result, at least three people had critical injuries. Emergency crews airlifted the victims to the hospital for treatment.
