KELSO, WA (December 19, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that three people suffered injuries in a crash on Melrose Lane on December 5.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Old Pacific Highway around 4:00 PM. Based on a report, two vehicles collided head-on in the lanes.
 
Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue and the Longview Fire Department responded and used hydraulic extrication tools to free one of the drivers from their car.
 
Emergency crews transported two people to the hospital by ambulance. As a result, they airlifted by Life Flight helicopter a third victim to the hospital. However, the extent of their injuries is not known.
 
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
