One injured, One Arrested in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway [Tukwila, WA]

Tukwila DUI Crash on 5 Freeway near Southcenter Mall

 
TUKWILA, WA (December 19, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that one person suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway on December 8.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Southcenter Mall around 1:15 AM. Based on a report, a Toyota Camry struck a Nissan Altima in the lanes.
 
Subsequently, the Nissan hit a Tesla. All the cars came to a stop near the two lanes closest to the center median.
 
As a result, the driver of the Nissan was hurt in the pile-up. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Medics said the other drivers were not hurt.
 
Authorities arrested the driver of the Camry on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular assault.
