TOPPENISH, WA (July 20, 2023) – Officers identified 23-year-old Theolinda George of Wapato who was hurt in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 97 on July 14.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Fort Road around 4:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a northbound vehicle hit her and fled the scene.
 
As a result, George suffered injuries in the incident. Crews took George to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital for treatment.
