Teen Injured, Driver Arrested in Bicycle Accident on Cimarron Road at West Desert Inn Road [Las Vegas, NV]

Juvenile Bicyclist Struck and Injured by DUI Driver on Cimarron Road in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 9, 2024) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed that a teen suffered injuries in a bicycle accident on Cimarron Road on January 29.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at West Desert Inn Road around 6:51 AM. Based on a report, the victim was riding a bike near the intersection during the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him.
 
The bicyclist sustained minor injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
 
Police subsequently detained the vehicle’s driver on suspicion of impairment.
 
Crews also closed the eastbound side of Desert Inn and northbound Cimarron while police activity was ongoing in the area.
