Bicyclist Struck and Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver on East Grant Road in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (February 9, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department confirmed that a bicyclist suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident in the 5800 block of East Grant Road on January 27.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly after 12:30 AM. Based on a report, the cyclist was in the westbound lanes of the road when a Mini Cooper hit the victim.
 
Subsequently, the driver of the Mini Cooper fled the scene, without rendering aid to the victim.
 
The bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident.
 
Police said the vehicle had front-end damage and they asked anyone with information to call 911 or 88CRIME.
