Teen Dies after Head-On Accident on Natural Bridge Caverns Road

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 16, 2024) — A teenager died in a head-on accident on Natural Bridge Caverns Road on Tuesday, April 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Natural Bridge Caverns Road at FM 1863.
 
Troopers said the driver of the 2023 Isuzu box truck drove into the oncoming lane. Then it collided with a 2010 Toyota Sienna.
 
Authorities responded at the scene and pronounced a 16-year-old boy, from New Braunfels, dead. His identity is not immediately available.
 
The driver of the box truck sustained serious injuries. Paramedics transported them to Methodist Northeast Hospital.
 
There are no reports of any charges.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
