Tayden Grimes Injured in Taft Accident on State Highway 136

 
TAFT, TX (August 22, 2024)Tayden Grimes, a 17-year-old Woodsboro High School senior, was injured in an accident on Thursday, August 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the two-car crash took place on State Highway 136 near Highway 18 at around 7:50 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said Grimes drove a 2006 Ford Mustang southbound on State Highway 136. At the same time, a 2015 Honda Civic driven by 23-year-old Philip Gladu, of Cibolo, moved eastbound on Highway 188. It approached a four-way stop at the intersection.
 
Then the Honda failed to stop at the intersection, said the Texas DPS. It resulted in the Honda slamming into the Ford Mustang’s passenger side.
 
After that, the Ford Mustang went into the southeast corner and overturned. The impact of the crash ejected Grimes through the passenger window.
