One Killed, Tammi Truschke Arrested for DUI in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 108 in Sonora

 
SONORA, CA (May 17, 2023) – Officers arrested 49-year-old Tammi Truschke following a fatal DUI crash on Highway 108 on May 11.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Draper Mine Road. Based on a report, Truschke was driving a 2020 Ram 2500 westbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a Ford F-350 was on the eastbound side and a 2019 Kia Optima was traveling westbound on the road. Due to unknown reasons, Truschke hit the rear of the Kia and pushed it into the path of the Ford F-350. Then, the F-350 hit the right side of the Kia.
 
As a result, the 39-year-old man who was driving the Kia died in the incident. He was from Angels Camp.
 
CHP determined Truschke was driving under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of causing a crash with injuries while under the influence.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
