Pedestrian Thomas Readel Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Mojave

 
MOJAVE, CA (May 17, 2023) – Officers identified 47-year-old Thomas Michael Readel who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 14 on April 29.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Highway 58. Based on a report, Readel was walking along northbound side of Highway 14 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
It is unknown of the car driver stayed after the crash.
