Pedestrian Susan Johnson-Cline Dies in Middletown Car Accident

 
LAKE COUNTY, CA (January 31, 2024) — Susan Alice Johnson-Cline died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 29 on Friday evening, January 26.

The fatal incident involving a 2020 Tesla Model S occurred south of Central Park Road at around 6:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area Office.

Authorities stated that 57-year-old Johnson-Cline had been walking along northbound Highway 29 in wet, rainy conditions when, for reasons still unknown, the Tesla slammed into her.

The collision left Johnson-Cline dead at the Adventist Health Clear Lake Hospital.

Officials believe that the influence of alcohol may have been a factor in the part of Johnson-Cline.
