PHOENIX, AZ (January 29, 2024) — A pedestrian identified as 23-year-old Summer Olheiser died after a hit-and-run on Monday, January 22.
 
The Phoenix Police Department said the crash happened near 27th Avenue and Osborn Road at 6:00 a.m.
 
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a call about an injured person. When they arrived, they found Olheiser on the roadway with serious injuries. They pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
Sgt. Robert Scherer said in a press release that Olheiser’s injuries were consistent with being struck by a car.
 
The investigation of the crash is ongoing.
