Motorcyclist Killed, Steven Hamming Arrested in Wrong-Way Accident in Congress

 
CONGRESS, AZ (April 29, 2024) – Troopers arrested 21-year-old Steven Luke Hamming of Kingman after a fatal accident on Highway 93 on April 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened before 3:00 PM. Based on a report, Hamming was driving a vehicle southbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he crossed into the northbound lane to pass a semi-truck and hit a group of motorcycle riders. He hit one of the motorcyclists head-on.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Two other riders sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Troopers arrested and booked Hamming into the Yavapai County jail on several charges.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. However, no other details are available.
