Six Hurt after Las Vegas Crash on East Tropicana Avenue and Andover Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 22, 2024) — Six people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident on East Tropicana on Wednesday, August 7.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened at around 4:00 p.m. near East Tropicana Avenue and Andover Drive.
LVMPD officers determined that a Honda Accord moved east on Tropicana Avenue at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2013 BMW 750 tried to make a left turn from Tropicana Avenue to travel south on Andover Drive.
Then the front of the Honda crashed into the right front of the BMW.
All occupants of the Honda which includes three children, and two adults suffered serious to critical injuries. Emergency responders brought them to Sunrise Trauma. One of the children, identified as a 6-year-old girl, had life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the BMW remained at the scene. LVMPD said the driver had minor injuries and did not show any signs of intoxication.
An investigation into the crash is still underway.
