BORGER, TX (August 18, 2023) – Officers identified 28-year-old Sindia Torres who died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 136 on August 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 5:35 AM. Based on a report, Torres was illegally walking in the dark roadway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south in the outside southbound lane on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, Torres crossed from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes in the path of the Chevrolet. The Chevy then struck her.
 
As a result, Torres sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
