NEWTON COUNTY, TX (September 3, 2024) — Sherrill Reese and Vyazma Todd died in a rollover accident on Friday, August 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at around 3:45 p.m. on FM 363 near Bleakwood.
 
The initial investigation of the DPS said a Ford F-250 pickup moved east on FM 363 near Bleakwood. Then for unknown reasons, the pickup left the road and rolled over multiple times.
 
The driver and his passenger suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
Authorities identified the driver of the Ford as 65-year-old Sherrill Reese of Newton. They also released the name of his passenger as 37-year-old Vyazma Todd, also of Newton.
 
There are no reports of whether impairment or speed contributed as a factor in the crash.
 
The investigation into this case is still underway.
