One Killed, Two Injured in Rollover Crash on Highway 155 in Nespelem
NESPELEM, WA (September 3, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that a 17-year-old driver died in a rollover crash on Highway 155 on August 10.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 9:00 PM. Based on a report, the teen was driving about 5 miles south of Nespelem and failed to navigate a turn.
Subsequently, the victim’s car crashed into the rocky shoulder off the roadway. The car then overcorrected, spun, and then rolled over. It ended up on its wheels on the opposite shoulder.
As a result, the teen suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
The car’s passengers, a 3-year-old, a 12-year-old, and two 13-year-olds, were hurt. They were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
