Sherman Johnson Identified in Fatal Accident on 35 Freeway in Austin
AUSTIN, TX (September 10, 2024) – The Austin Police Department identified 42-year-old Sherman Johnson who died in an accident in the 1500 block of 35 Freeway on August 29.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 11:09 PM. Based on a report, a crash with another vehicle pinned Johnson inside his car.
As a result, the victim sustained severe injuries. Police responded and transported him to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition. He later died in the hospital.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries. The victims cooperated with the investigators.
