Shawna Granillo Identified in Fatal Moore County Crash, 19-Year-Old Jena Larios-Tipaz Arrested

 
MOORE COUNTY, TX (January 31, 2023) – Officers identified Shawna Granillo as the victim who died in a crash on McClary Road on January 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Carbon Black Road around 9:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, Granillo was driving a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 east in the eastbound lane prior to the crash. At the same time, 19-year-old Jena Larios-Tipaz was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban west in the eastbound lane, causing a head-on crash.
 
As a result, Granillo died in the incident.
 
Larios-Tipaz suffered minor injuries and was transported to Memorial Hospital in Dumas.
 
Upon further investigation, authorities filed the intoxication manslaughter charge against Larios-Tipaz. They arrested and booked him into the Moore County Jail. As of now, the case remains under investigation.
