Shawn Pritchard Died, Araceli Esparza Harmed in Nacogdoches Crash

 
NACOGDOCHES, TX (February 21, 2025) – Shawn Pritchard died while Araceli Esparza was injured in a crash on Loop 224 and Highway 7 on Thursday evening, February 13.
 
According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, the incident happened around 8:00 p.m.
 
Reports revealed that a motorcycle was heading north on Loop 224 while an SUV was traveling south. The SUV turned left in front of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision.
 
The impact of the crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown off his bike, police said.
 
Medics took 45-year-old Pritchard, the motorcyclist, to a local hospital where he later died.
 
18-year-old Esparza, the SUV driver, received medical treatment for sustained minor injuries.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
