Sergio Padilla-Luna Fatally Injured after Edinburg Car Crash on FM 1925 and Tower Road

 
EDINBURG, TX (March 27, 2024) — 34-year-old Sergio Alejandro Padilla-Luna, of Edinburg, died in a car crash on Saturday, March 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Maria Hernandez, the incident took place on FM 1925 and Tower Road.
 
Hernandez said a Dodge Ram Pickup, occupied by a woman, a man, and three children, moved westbound on FM 1925. Then they tried to turn left on Tower Road.
 
A Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Padilla-Luna was behind the Dodge. Then he failed to control his speed and crashed into the truck.
 
Padilla-Luna died at the scene from his injuries.
 
The occupants in the Dodge were not hurt by the incident.
 
Hernandez said alcohol may have played a role in the crash. She added there is a pending toxicology report.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
