Sendegeya Kabundi Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (January 13, 2022) – Phoenix Police identified 49-year-old Sendegeya Kabundi as the victim who was killed by a vehicle on 46th Avenue on January 9.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thomas Road around 7:20 PM. Based on a report, Kabundi was walking in the crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him. Police responded and found him lying on the road with serious injuries.
 
As a result, Kabundi died at the hospital.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and investigators said there was no indication that impairment was a factor.
