Two Killed in Coppell Crash, Selvin Cuyuch Arrested

 
COPPELL, TX (January 5, 2023) – The Coppell Police Department arrested 20-year-old Selvin Cuyuch of Dallas following a crash on West Bethel Road on December 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at South Freeport Parkway around 7:20 PM. Based on a report, Cuyuch was fleeing from another accident at the time of the crash.
 
His maroon Honda Accord traveled northbound on Freeport Parkway at a high rate of speed and ran a red light. Subsequently, it collided with a silver BMW sedan traveling eastbound on Bethel.
 
As a result, two people in the BMW died at the scene. Officials only identified the victims as a 41-year-old female from California and a 69-year-old female from Plano.
 
Coppell ambulances transported the other three individuals to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
 
Police arrested Cuyuch on two counts of Manslaughter. As of now, the case remains under investigation.
