90-Year-Old Major Abram, Lamont Rhodes Identified in Fatal La Porte Crash in Harris County

 
HARRIS COUNTY, TX (January 5, 2023) – Officials identified 90-year-old Major Abram and 27-year-old Lamont Rhodes as the victims who died in a crash on the Fred Hartman Bridge on January 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just before midnight. Based on a report from Harris County Precinct 8 constable deputies, Abram’s black GMC was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of the bridge prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, it collided with Rhodes’ black Toyota Corolla.
 
As a result, both drivers died at the scene.
 
Investigators said they do not believe alcohol was a factor. As of now, the case remains under investigation.
