Sean Ayers Hospitalized after Sheridan Hit-and-Run on Highway 285

 
SHERIDAN, CO (September 3, 2024) — A 21-year-old man identified as Sean Ayers sustained injuries following a hit-and-run on Friday, August 16.
 
According to the Sheridan police, the accident took place on Highway 285 near the River Point Parkway at about 9:00 p.m.
 
Authorities said the crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle.
 
After the crash, the driver left without helping the significantly injured motorcyclist.
 
Sheridan police said that following the accident, three people helped the victim on scene. One of them was a doctor who performed CPR on Ayers until an ambulance arrived and then transported the victim to the hospital.
 
Alex Makarov, the victim’s brother, said Ayers suffered critical injuries because of the incident. He said doctors also removed a portion of Ayers’ skull to reduce the swelling. As of writing, he remains in coma and has not yet woken up.
 
Makarov made GoFundMe to help Ayers’ family with the medical expenses.
