Shavinder Singh and Scottie Dunn Die in Oldham County Accident on 40 Freeway

OLDHAM COUNTY, TX (October 25, 2022) – Police identified 42-year-old Scottie Dunn of Amarillo and 32-year-old Shavinder Singh of Livermore as the victims who died in an accident on 40 Freeway on October 21.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened 36 miles west of Vega at approximately 5:15 AM.

Based on a report, Singh’s 2021 Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling westbound in the outside lane of the freeway prior to the crash. At the same time, Dunn was legally standing next to a 2007 Peterbilt tow truck towing a truck tractor-semi trailer that was parked on the westbound shoulder.

Subsequently, Singh drifted onto the shoulder and struck the tow truck, the attached truck tractor semi-trailer – and Dunn.

As a result, an Oldham County Justice of the Peace pronounced Dunn and Singh dead at the scene.

As of now, the crash remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
