Scott Helm, Rocio Helm Identified in Rollover Crash in Cherokee County

 
CHEROKEE COUNTY, TX (January 3, 2022) – Police identified Scott Helm and Rocio Helm as the victims who died in a rollover crash on FM 241 on December 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the victims were both 33-years-old and Rusk residents. Based on a report, Scott was traveling in an SUV on the north side of the road at an unsafe speed.
 
Subsequently, it was around 4:20 PM when he lost control on the wet roadway, went into a southbound ditch, and rolled over.
 
Scott and Rocio, who was in the passenger seat, were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Two 12-year-old female passengers suffered injuries. Crews transported them to a Dallas hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
