Scott Fitzgerald Arrested after DUI Accident in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, WA (August 15, 2024) — Authorities arrested 51-year-old Scott Fitzgerald, of Vancouver, after a DUI accident on Sunday, July 28.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash took place on Highway 500 near Northeast Andresen Road at around 4:40 p.m.
WSP said Fitzgerald drove a Jeep Cherokee onto Highway 500 from Northeast Andresen Road. While still on the ramp, he hit a Jeep Gladiator driven by 23-year-old Anatoliy Hvozd, of Vancouver.
After that, Fitzgerald continued westbound onto Highway 500. Then he crashed into a Kia Soul driven by Derek Stirek. Fitzgerald subsequently hit a Ford Escape driven by 68-year-old Connie Lynch, of Vancouver.
Hvozd and his passengers — 21-year-old Daniel Labach and Maxim Myno, 18, both of Vancouver — did not sustain any injuries.
Stirek and passenger Laury Andrade, both 33 and Vancouver residents, suffered injuries. Paramedics transported them to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. In addition, medics also brought Lynch to PeaceHealth with injuries.
Paramedics also brought Fitzgerald to PeaceHealth for treatment of injuries. Then they booked him into the Clark County Jail on the vehicular assault charge. They set his bail to $5,000.
