DENVER, CO (May 8, 2024) — One person sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on West 14th Avenue on Sunday, April 28.
 
According to the Denver Police Department, the accident took place at the intersection of West 14th Street and North Mariposa Street at around 12:51 a.m.
 
Denver Police said an unknown driver traveled southbound near the intersection of West 24th Street and North Mariposa Street. Then the driver struck a man riding an electric scooter who tried to cross North Mariposa Street.
 
As a result, the victim suffered serious injuries from the crash.
 
Police described the suspect vehicle appears to be a maroon colored, early 2000′s Acura TL sedan. In addition, they said it has moderate damage to the front end.
