SPRING BRANCH, TX (May 8, 2024) — Two people died in a helicopter crash on Lantana Ridge on Monday, April 29.
 
According to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred in the 600 block of Lantana Ridge at about 3:15 p.m. They said a Hummingbird 260 Helicopter crashed in the area.
 
The Comal County Sheriff’s Office said a pilot and a passenger occupied the aircraft. Responding officers found them dead on the scene.
 
Authorities have not released the identities of the victims pending notification of loved ones.
 
The Federal Aviation Administration and the Texas Department of Public Safety handle the ongoing investigation of the crash.
 
A public information officer with Comal County initially said it was a plane crash.
