Sarah Martinez Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway at Schuster Avenue [El Paso, TX]

Sarah Martinez Identified in Fatal El Paso Car Accident

 
EL PASO, TX (July 20, 2023) – El Paso Police identified 25-year-old Sarah Joy Martinez who died in a multi-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway on July 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Schuster Avenue. Based on a report, Martinez lost control of her car during a heavy rainstorm. She spun out of control and hit a guardrail. Her vehicle then stopped in the far right lanes of the freeway.
 
Subsequently, an on-duty Border Patrol agent pulled over to help her. As she got out of her car, a semi-truck hit the Martinez as well as her car and the patrol unit.
 
As a result, Martinez sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The Border Patrol agent suffered minor injuries.
