Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash with Police Vehicle on May Street in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 3, 2022) – Police confirmed that a Sacramento Police Department officer was involved in a fatal motorcycle crash on May Street on October 31.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Bell Avenue around 8:10 PM.
 
Based on a report, the officer was in a marked police cruiser on the way to a reported felony in progress. The vehicle did not have its siren or emergency lights on at that time. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a motorcycle.
 
As a result, the man on the motorcycle later died at the hospital. Officials did not yet release his identity, pending kin notification.
