FORT WORTH, TX (June 3, 2024) — A 55-year-old woman identified as Rosa Barron died in a pedestrian accident on Saturday, May 25.
 
According to the Fort Worth police, the incident took place at the intersection of Northwest 28th Street and Prospect Avenue at about 12:26 a.m.
 
Forth Worth police said a woman was in traffic at the intersection when a vehicle struck her.
 
Officers responded to the scene and pronounced Barron dead at the scene, police said.
 
Authorities later identified the driver as 23-year-old Alexia Monica Lopez. They arrested and charged her with intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle.
 
Fort Worth Police Department traffic detectives continue to investigate the incident.
