BOERNE, TX (November 8, 2024) — Roger Louis Waid and two of his family members died in a head-on accident on Tuesday, October 29.
 
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the crash occurred in the 500 block of Highway 46 at about 8:00 p.m.
 
Reports said a Ford F-250 Super Duty traveled west on Highway 46 and passed in a no-pass zone. After that, it collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla.
 
Officers and emergency responders arrived at the scene. They pronounced all three people who were in the Corolla dead at the scene. They later identified them as 50-year-old Roger Louis Waid, 53-year-old Patricia Ann Waid, and 14-year-old Blake Lynn Waid.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the 58-year-old driver of the F-250 to University Hospital with injuries.
 
Authorities closed State Highway 46 for several hours while officials investigated and cleared the scene.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway. There were no further details available.
