Rodrigo Talavera and Mitchel Kennedy Identified in Fatal Tyler Head-On Crash

 
TYLER, TX (May 10, 2023) – Troopers identified 43-year-old Rodrigo Talavera of Tyler and 61-year-old Mitchel Kennedy of Winona in a fatal crash on FM 2661 on May 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 31. Based on a report, Talavera was driving a Ford north on FM 2661 prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, Kennedy was driving a Dodge south on FM 2661. DPS said Talavera failed to drive in a single lane and veered into the southbound lane, colliding with Kennedy’s vehicle head-on.
 
As a result, emergency crews pronounced Talavera and Kennedy dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
