LUFKIN, TX (December 18, 2023) – Officers identified 64-year-old Robert Green of Lufkin who sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident in the 600 block of West Frank Avenue on December 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 8:50 PM. Based on a report, Green was walking in the roadway before the crash.
 
At the same time, 36-year-old Jesus Perez of Lufkin was driving a Nissan Altima eastbound on the road.
 
As a result, Green suffered broken bones and a head injury. Emergency crews transported him to UT Health-Tyler, where he underwent surgery earlier this week.
 
Perez was not hurt in the incident.
