James Browning Identified in Fatal Crash with Semi-Truck in Carthage

 
CARTHAGE, TX (December 19, 2023) – Troopers identified 21-year-old James Browning who died in an accident on Highway 59 on December 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 12:13 AM. Based on a report, a 2021 Kenworth semi-truck tractor towing double trailers was reportedly headed northbound on Highway 59 before the crash.
 
At the same time, Browning was driving a 2009 Nissan Murano southbound on the highway. Due to unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, Browning suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
 
DPS said the driver of the Kenworth was not hurt in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
