One Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Flamingo Road and Mojave Drive in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 10, 2025) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on Flamingo Road on Monday, January 6.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Mojave Drive at about 7:03 p.m.
 
LVMPD said a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle traveled at a high rate of speed east on Flamingo Road. It moved toward the Mojave intersection with a green light.
 
At the same time, a 2015 Nissan Versa traveled west on Flamingo Road. Then it tried to make a left turn to go south on Mojave Drive on a flashing yellow arrow light.
 
After that, Nissan crossed the path of the motorcycle, and the collision occurred. The impact threw the rider off the motorcycle.
 
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and did not display any signs of impairment.
 
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section handles the ongoing investigation of the crash.
 
The incident marks the 1st traffic-related death in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2025.
