LEAVENWORTH, WA (December 8, 2022) – Police identified 26-year-old Richie Arroyo of Wenatchee as the victim who suffered injuries in a car crash on Highway 2 on December 2.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened around 8:50 AM.
 
Based on a report, Arroyo was driving a Mitsubishi Mirage westbound on the highway prior to the crash. Subsequently, he lost control of his vehicle. Then, an eastbound GMC Sierra pickup struck him.
 
As a result, Arroyo was transported to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.
 
The driver of the pickup, 62-year-old Jon R. Kowalczyk of Mount Vernon, was not hurt.
