Richard Ducati Arrested after Speeding Crash on Highway 92

 
SIERRA VISTA, AZ (August 21, 2024) — Authorities arrested 60-year-old Richard Ducati, of San Manuel, after a speeding crash on Monday, August 5.
 
According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Highway 92 near East Golden Acres Drive.
 
Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels said in a social media post that Ducati drove a truck northbound on Highway 92. Then his vehicle approached a sheriff’s sergeant in a marked patrol car at a high rate of speed near East Ramsey Road. The post said he drove at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
 
After that, the suspect vehicle allegedly crashed into several cars while trying to turn into the Circle K at East Golden Acres Drive. It then allegedly collided with several more vehicles after it continued on Highway 92.
 
The vehicle eventually crashed and came to a stop near the Texas Roadhouse on Highway 92. The driver barricaded himself inside the truck. But, responding officers removed him from the vehicle.
 
There were no reported injuries from the crashes.
 
Paramedics brought Ducati to the hospital for medical clearance. After that, officers booked him into the Cochise County Jail.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
