Reva Garza Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash on FM 306 in New Braunfels, Juan Vargas Arrested for DUI

 
NEW BRAUNFELS, TX (March 22, 2023) – Officers identified 41-year-old Reva Garza as the victim who died in a head-on crash on FM 306 on March 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Hunter Road around 1:30 AM. Based on a report, Garza was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling on the road at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, Juan Sebastian Vargas of Waelder was in the opposite direction, also driving a Dodge Ram. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicles crashed head-on.
 
As a result, Garza sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Vargas and his two passengers were rushed to the hospital, where the passengers were listed in critical condition.
 
Police later arrested Vargas on Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
