Ray Stickinger Identified in Fatal Accident with Tractor Trailer in Henderson County

 
HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (October 24, 2023) – Officials identified 50-year-old Ray Stickinger of Mabank who died in a motorcycle accident on Cedar Creek Parkway on October 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 2:53 PM. Based on a report, Stickinger was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on Cedar Creek Parkway (FM 85) at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, 33-year-old Kyle Harmon of Merryville failed to yield the right of way and turned left to FM 2613 in front of Stickinger in a Kenworth truck tractor while driving east. Stickinger then struck the 18-wheeler.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries. Crews transported him to UT Health Gun Barrel, where he later died.
 
Harmon was not injured in the crash.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
