Motorcyclist Ralph Shepard Jr. Identified in Fatal Accident in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (December 21, 2023) – Phoenix Police identified 44-year-old Ralph Shepard Jr. who died in a motorcycle accident on 48th Street on December 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near McDowell Road just after 9:00 PM. Based on the report, Shepard was traveling on his motorcycle north on 48th Street at the time of the crash.
 
A collision occurred when a black car made a left turn in front of him. Subsequently, a second car also hit him while he was down on the road. Police said the first car’s driver fled the scene and drove east through an alley near Willetta Street with damage to its passenger side. The driver of the second car stayed at the scene.
 
As a result, Shepard Jr. suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
