Quoc Nguyen Struck and Killed by Kyle Sandstrom in Puyallup Pedestrian Accident

 
PUYALLUP, WA (March 8, 2024) – The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 37-year-old Quoc Nguyen of Puyallup who died in a pedestrian accident in the 4000 block of South Meridian on February 20.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, Nguyen was walking on the sidewalk at the time of the incident. Due to unknown reasons, 41-year-old Kyle Lynn Sandstrom’s vehicle hit him from behind.
 
The driver crossed all the lanes of South Meridian and crashed into the side of a drugstore.
 
As a result, Nguyen suffered multiple blunt-force injuries and died.
 
Pierce County prosecutors then charged Sandstrom with one count of vehicular homicide. A Pierce County Court Commissioner set his bail at $300,000,
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
