Jose Tabares-Acosta, Quinyana Long Identified in Fatal Las Vegas Car Crash

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 7, 2023) – The Clark County Coroner’s office identified 39-year-old Quinyana Lonyae Long and 48-year-old Jose Cutberto Tabares-Acosta who died in a car crash on 215 Freeway on February 5.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Charleston Boulevard around 2:39 AM. Based on a report, Long was driving a Cadillac in the wrong direction on the freeway in the far left travel lane prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, it crashed with Tabares-Acosta’s northbound red Chevrolet pickup. Then, both vehicles rotated counterclockwise when the Chevrolet made contact with a Nissan traveling in the middle lane.
 
As a result, Long and Tabares-Acosta died at the scene.
 
A female passenger in the Chevy had serious injuries while two people in the Nissan sustained moderate injuries.
 
At this point, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
